  As of today, we are boycotting our Metro in Cobourg. Although it is a convenient store to walk to, we are continually disgusted with the quality of food they sell. Limp celery and broccoli are a given. And today - Grain fed chicken breasts that were so tough that we thru out our home made chicken quesadillas and ordered a pizza.

  I like shopping here, it's clean and bright, not over crowded. Prices are only higher on some of the fresh things, but last twice as long as other stores in town. Definitely worth the price.

  The produce is sub-standard, with the management of that department having little knowledge of fruit and vegetable. The "customer service" is snooty and supercilious and the prices are out to lunch. The only good thing I can say is they make the best pizzas in Cobourg.

  The grocery store itself is fine, staff are freindly and all. But the hot food section is atrocious! It's as if they purposely try to make the food horrible. I travel for work and usually always grab dinners from grocery stores, but this place is the worst. The scalloped potatoes and potato salads are normally always bad. The potatoes are usually raw or very close to raw, so it's like crunching on carrots. I have also eaten the worst mac and cheese of my entire life from this store, and I have eaten alot of Mac and cheese in my life.
