    1) During the quote process they raised the price per pound after I accepted their quote and said they couldn't do it at their original quote that they sent to me in writing .

Move from Ontario to Vancouver. This is not worth the 1 star - the service started great, but was very poor after that. I feel sorry for the employees who they hire (on a whim it seem) to load and off load their vehicles, because they are faced with frustrated customers. The initial service to get the business was great and very responsive. They could not confirm any times of the day that the move would arrive until the day before - anyone living in a condo building would know how long in advance an elevator needs to be booked.

    3) We didn't take possession of our new home until September, and I advised the sales rep that we couldn't accept a delivery before sept 1st. We got an email on the 30th saying that they were going to drop off our stuff on the 31st , non negotiable. We had to rent a storage unit and hire an additional mover in town .

Several reasons why the experience was bad.

It should be noted we only moved a small portion of our 2 bedroom condo and all of the stuff they moved didn't even fill up half of a 10-15 storage unit. We're having the in town movers weigh it as they said it look to be about 2000 pounds.

Great company with great pricing. Moved my stuff on time . Everything went really well. Hired couple of companies before them for moving but they canceled the moving rite on the moving day. One of them was provincial movers, thay are piece of garbage please dont book with them. If need reliable service then centennial is the best. The guy name Hozan in their mississauga location is the best. Called him for the moving and he lead me through for my proper moving and on time. Centennial movers rocks....

    5) We paid for their packing service and the first box we opened contained an 80 year old chandelier that we got for our daughters nursery and it was broke beyond repair. All they did was wrap some small bubble wrap on it and threw it in a box.

    4) The final price ended up being more that $1000 over the quote because they said our weight was 4000 pounds when they did a detailed weight analysis ahead of time estimating it at 2500 pounds or less.

If there was not such a big delay, a 5 star they would deserve for sure.

    2) 5 days before our move we got an email stating that the mover was coming the next day and we had no choice but to accept the last minute change. We were out of he province for work at the time and after speaking to centennial we realized that the driver just wanted to leave early .

They gave some discount because of that, but too little for 3 weeks delay.

So in the end we paid almost 4 times what they quoted us, it was a stressful experience and they broke our stuff.

We've used them 2x already. 1st was Calgary to Ottawa for my mother-in-law in 2017 and 2nd was just this January 2018. Has always been a good experience and they're very hard working and reliable. Thank you guys for helping us in our move.

They agreed to a delivery window, and was very vague with excuses as to why the window could not be met. Eventually we were informed that the truck broke down somewhere - I fail to see how this is any concern of the customer. After delaying the delivery by 1.5 weeks, and inconveniencing my family and 10 month old son, they insisted on a specific move in window - once again an elevator needs to be booked and there is other tenants in the buildings - failing which I would be liable for extra storage and an alternate move in date. This insistence is of course done for the 1st day of the month – when there is not elevator available, and everyone in the building has booked the elevator way in advance for their moves.

Bottom line, good company and I recommend them, but don't count on their estimate times.

If you want a hassle free, stress free, reliable move - Centennial Moving is not for you. Throughout our communication I was provided with excerpts from their Terms and Conditions about why they are within the legal framework of what is allowable - that is not customer service. One of which being that they are allowed to delay a move if the truck breaks down. Good customer service to me, would be to get insurance for business interruption, and get another vehicle to satisfy the agreement with the customer.

This was a cross country move and I was traveling on business at the time and our move was about to happen so I had no choice and accepted it.

BUT, I did not find them rude, they were great in their job, nothing was broken (really, even two big mirrors) and the price was good.

After a lot of pleading with the building management, I managed to get a window for the elevator use. On the day of the move, they arrived 1.5 hours earlier, and tried to negotiate the use of the elevator along with someone else that is already moving in – stating that “it will be fast”, and once again disrupting everyone else’s plans in the building. When I met with the driver, I was told that the weight ticket and invoice to proof that the truck broke down is in the vehicle, and that he will be showing that to me at the end of the move. When the move was done, he said that I can phone the main office for such, and he will not provide it. All throughout my conversations with him, he was also very evasive, and could not tell me where or when the truck broke done, making me very suspicious.

I was initially about to give them 1 star because they had my delivered 20 days (!!!) after the original estimate delivery time. My stuff (Saskatoon to Hamilton) went first to Vancouver (yes! that is ridiculous!).
